THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior IT Trainer Team Lead, you will deliver impactful learning experiences for apprentices completing L3/L4 Digital Infrastructure Engineer / Cyber Security Analytss apprenticeships. You will manage a small team of IT coaches and drive the success of our apprenticeship programs.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of IT coaches, ensuring their professional development and performance
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation in training delivery
  • Monitor apprentices' progress, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications
  • Collaborate with apprenticeship coaches to utilise insights for improving the overall learning experience

Program Development and Delivery

  • Develop, implement, and conduct learning and assessment services aligned with apprenticeship objectives and outcomes
  • Continuously improve learning materials and resources to support delivery needs
  • Support digital bootcamps and other training initiatives

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Complete workplace assessments using various methods (observation, professional discussions, expert witness testimony)
  • Accurately document learners' assessment records and report success metrics
  • Evaluate tutoring sessions and develop strategies to improve quality and effectiveness

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with partner companies and employers
  • Ensure alignment between apprenticeship outcomes and employer expectations

Essential Requirements

  • A proven track record in education (higher education, instructor-led training, conference speaking, and/or eLearning)
  • Knowledgeable in technical topics such as networking, IT systems & telecoms, hardware
  • Passionate about managing a team and transforming people’s career journey.
  • Educated to a degree level
  • PGCE desirable not essential
  • UK Driver's License
