Purpose of the Job
To drive Innovation, Research, Projects and business forward and to forge working relationships between industry and academia across the region to promote and develop commercial opportunities.
The candidate will have a deep understanding of “Digital” as a cross-sector discipline, how its application is now an integral part of our lives and what new opportunities are arising from this application. The candidate will play a crucial role in the development of Digital Skills in the region, working with partners and existing projects as well as seeing opportunities to develop new initiatives.
Crucially the candidate will harvest an enthusiasm and interest in innovation and will be passionate about developing networks and relationships in the region. The postholder will have a focus on detail, will be comfortable in managing projects, building relationships and developing new and exciting initiatives.
You will lead on exciting projects, from the development of new software platforms based on IoT and AI to leading on our flagship Digidol Conference. You will also lead upon the development of our clusters – Creative North and Agritech.Cymru.
M-SParc is at the centre of innovation in North Wales and digital is at the heart of that innovation. Digital enables every industry from energy to transport, agriculture to tourism; there isn’t a sector that hasn’t been influenced by digitisation and digitalisation.
Increasingly our public services, healthcare and education services are underpinned by digital, touching both our personal and professional lives daily. The Digital team was established in 2022 to provide specialist digital support to our ecosystem and beyond. Interacting with local organisations, supporting start ups and tenant companies, enabling collaborative digital projects across all sectors and in to our communities.
